Mindfulness Therapy

In short - this therapy approach gives the center of attention to the present and thus opens up space to slow down automatic responses

Mindfulness therapy is useful for those who are dealing with challenges of stress, tension, anxiety, attention disorders, sleep disorders, a feeling of being stuck, panic attacks, chronic illnesses and physical difficulties, pain and the list goes on.

It is a great tool to strengthen control over our thoughts and our automatic responses to them. We bring awareness to our emotional reactions, which are often automatic and feel uncontrollable. This allows us to bring in a more relevant and appropriate response to what is happening right now. It also gives us the ability to feel prepared for reactions we predict will arise in the future facing the everyday triggers.

The use of mindfulness exercises as part of therapy is calming, regulating, helps

to organize and change thought patterns, and to process challenging experiences and traumas of the past from a safe and calm place in the present. The advantage of mindfulness is that we practice it together, and from there it expands into your daily life, allowing you more control and ease through your day.

we move between a mindful conversation and mindfulness exercises. The degree of depth and style of the exercises themselves are tailored to the patient. Sometimes mindfulness is similar to meditation, sometimes to guided imagery. There are endless ways to bring awareness to the present, and that feeling of connection is valuable and empowering.
